Active Shooter Training & Workshops

As a result of increased shootings nation-wide, West Coast Consulting Group has developed "Active Shooter in the Workplace" and "Active Shooter on Campus" training courses and field exercises. Classroom training is video-based, coupled with lecture and Q&A. The courses are ideal for Workplace Safety Training, Faculty Flex Week, and/or Staff Development Days. Curriculum includes Lessons Learned, Preventative Measures, Warning Signs, Profile of an Active Shooter, Taking Action: Run, Hide, or Fight, and Survival Mindset and Mental Preparation. Optional field exercises are coordinated with local first responders for regional training focused on responding to an Active Shooter at your workplace.

I've had the opportunity to participate in real-life events that we've had at our other colleges, and I can tell you the information we learned today, with multi-agency fire responders support, all of that went a long way towards educating our campus leadership on how these events transpire.
